Thursday, June 4....Private Acting Session with Donna Marrazzo, at Mike Lemon Studios, Philadelphia.
Friday, June 5.....Audition for One-on-One, NY. **Going back in a few weeks after working on my monologues a bit more.**
This summer....in a new webseries called "The Thoughtful Wombat", I will be playing a lead character named Alice, among other characters, no doubt. More to come... :)
Tuesday June 9, Received a call from Heery Casting regarding background work tomorrow on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"...yes, please!
Sunday June 21....Worked on "Always Sunny" a couple weeks ago this Wednesday (6.10) - it was so much fun! Long day...but it's all good. Met some really cool people, saw action up close, and was able to chat with Danny DeVito for a couple of minutes. He was such a nice guy, and made sure to tell us to have fun with all of this...
Submitting, submitting as always...recieved an opportunity to audition for an NYFA thesis film, on June 30th, called "Sinestesia". The audition is for a lead! :) Can't wait! :)
Also sent out a headshot, resume and cover letter yesterday (6.20) to the Canadian CDs of "Eclipse", for the part of "Bree"...here's hoping...
Heading to NY this week to meet with Paul Michael, the exec. director of "The Network" - actors networking place. *Suggested some classes to take/indie CDs to meet with*
Wednesday June 24 - worked background on "The Bounty" starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler. Interesting to see how they worked through a scene together - I had great blocking/visuals for about 3 hours.
Tuesday June 30 - auditioned for the short silent NYFA thesis film "Sinestesia" in NYC - went well :) Also signed up for a seminar with Meghan Rafferty, CD with Ellen Lewis Casting at Actors Connection on 7/7, and a meet/audition with CDs Brette Goldstein, Judy Henderson, and Kevin Kuffa on 7/28 at The Network.
Headed to LA on the 13-17th!!! :)
Wednesday, July 22 - Wow, long time no update garrr so busy over here...returned from LA well rested and right into an audition (the day after a crazy red-eye flight!) for the indie feature film "I Don't Want to Kill Myself" for the principal role of 'Claire'. I recieved some great responses...here's hoping, as always.
Next week brings the Indie Film Fest at 'The Network' on Tuesday the 28th.
Wednesday, August (holycrap!) 5 - Met with Casting Directors Kevin Kuffa, Brette Goldstein, and Judy Henderson last Tuesday, to much amusement and good meetings. Sent 'thank yous' and all, as well as a follow-up letter to the CDs of 'Eclipse' saying I'm still Very Interested! And as always...submitting, submitting submitting for projects. :)
Hoping to get a time at the open call at Heery Casting on Monday 8/10...hoping it works out so I can do that, as well as audition for a NY feature "It's A Funny Kind of Story" that same day. Busy. Good.
I officially have pictures and a resume on IMdB! WoW!
Also signed up for IMdBPro today...it's pretty wild...the (kind of) info I can access is awesome and slightly overwelming. I suppose knowledge is power.
Friday, September 25 - Been busy - hence, no update. Through August, I went to several auditions and sent out H/R for lots of projects. I was offered and accepted a supporting and featured part in two independent films shooting in early October - 'Handicapped Parking' and "Real Ether' respectively. I also met with the manager of Baby Boomers Talent in Philadelphia, and they seemed interested, though I am still researching agents in NYC (and debating bi-coastal opportunity).
This month brings a new class: Meisner Tech I with Wendy Ward of Ward Studio, NYC. It started on the 16th and meets twice a week to the beginning of December. I really like Wendy and my classmates - should be fun!
Also got the awesome chance to work on the Philly-located feature directed by James L. Brooks - and got 2 SAG waivers from it. Went in for my first fitting and then did a night shoot the next day. I got to watch Jack Nicholson and Paul Rudd work for a while (Nicholson's just how I imagined him - what a voice! :-) - though wearing heels for so long was not fun...blahh...but a good experience all around.
Sent out for 'Pirates 4' today, savvy?
